FAITH AND WORKS!

I see a lot of people quote the “faith without works is dead” passage but don’t really get what it means. Follow me.

When you pray and ask God for open doors, or an opportunity in some place or the other, that is FAITH.

When you then go on to build yourself, work on your skills and capacities and prepare for that thing you have prayed for, that is WORK.

For example, when you pray and ask God for $100,000, that is FAITH.

When you then go on to invest in yourself, build your knowledge, raise your mindset for abundance and then put in the kind of work ethic needed to create something of value worth $100,000, that is WORK.

When God said, “I will bless the works of your hands”, this is what it means. You have to have something for Him to bless.

You cannot pray for stuff and then fold your hands expecting it to fall from the sky.

Are you preparing yourself for the thing you have prayed for?

Don’t even get me started on how we pray and the things we pray for.

We were created in His image and after His likeness. So just like Him, we are creators.

So when we pray for something like money, we pray amiss because God did not create money. He created man with a big brain, the ability to learn and add value to themselves, and the ability to exchange that value for value a.k.a money.

You don’t pray for chairs and tables. God made trees and man was then able to create chairs and tables out of trees.

So instead of praying for money, why don’t you pray instead for those things that only God can give? Favour, Access, A Thinking Mind, Peace that Passes Understanding, Revelation, the Gift of Foresight, Courage, Patience to be able to learn and practice, a Sound Mind…

Now, there are many other things to be said concerning this topic of faith, works and praying in line with God’s will, but I choose to focus on these three in this context.

As you wait on what God has prepared for you, prepare yourself for it as well.
