What is your vision for your life? What is your vision for your business? Do you know what vision is?
Some time ago, I read a post by Jimi Tewe where he acknowledged the fact that Nigeria’s 60th Independence Day celebration comes up soon, and asked, “What is Nigeria’s Vision?” He then proceeded to ask that if you had the opportunity to lead Nigeria, what would your vision be?”
I thought it would be great to see what people’s answers would be so I jumped into the comments section. The results were shocking.
From what I read, I realized that many people don’t even know what Vision is. I saw a lot of action points. People talked about building infrastructure, working on the educational system, battling corruption and the likes. Hardly anyone had a vision.
It’s no wonder things are the way they are, not just for countries, but for businesses and for people in general.
Vision is not the same as action points. Without vision, your action points become redundant, pointless, unsustainable and an utter waste of time.
Until you learn to identify your vision or create one for your life and business, you will find it difficult to gain clarity on what you’re supposed to do.
You will find it difficult to communicate your message to your audience through content that they connect with.
You will find it difficult to grow your business, your influence and your impact.
