I am interrupting our regularly scheduled program to bring you this message:
Opportunities will come, that will require you to move quickly before the window of that opportunity closes.
You may miss these kind of opportunities if you lack financial discipline, if you have no money saved (and I’m not talking peanuts), if you don’t know how to nurture your relationships with people, and if you are not discerning and wise.
Start now to plan for these kinds of opportunities.
✅ Have a target to always have a particular amount saved that you will never touch, only reserved for this kind of opportunity.
✅ Increase your income and your ability to earn. Learn skills as much as you can and practice on them. Never be in a situation where you cannot earn.
✅ Learn smart financial education. Adopt a strict saving habit. Make a budget for your income (even as an entrepreneur). Say NO to family and friends who want to borrow you to brokenness.
✅ Be wise and discerning about the relationships you’re building. Not just with your mentors and role models, but also with your peers and those you’re mentoring. Opportunities can come from anywhere. Do not look down on anybody.
✅ Some of these opportunities will come disguised as hard work. Don’t be too lazy jump on them. You may live to regret it. It is better to suffer the pain of discipline rather than suffer the pain of regret.
✅ Do away with all forms of entitlement. Nobody owes you anything. The fact that they presented you with an opportunity doesn’t mean they get to hold your hand every step of the way to utilizing it.
✅ Some of these opportunities may be audacious and may require you to make big moves and sacrifices. You will need courage to take them on. It’s okay to feel the fear, but weigh the risk against the reward and do the needful.
Change is in the air and massive opportunities are coming your way, especially if you are an entrepreneur or would-be entrepreneur in these times. Open your eyes so you can see them. Don’t be blinded by distractions.
Opportunities like these only come once in a while. If you miss it, you might not get another chance.
Take heed of the above action points and start today to take control of the opportunities you get to choose from.
