MY TOP 10 BUSINESS PREDICTIONS

Every year since we created the community, I’ve always shared my top 10 predictions for the next year. Every year, I’ve been 100% correct. There’s no magic to the process of knowing, just plain ol’ research and study. That’s why I’ve doubled or tripled my income every single year.

Hear ye, hear ye, what my top predictions were for businesses, whether big or upcoming, in the last year:

  1. He who has the most flexibility, controls the system. No longer should you tell yourself “that’s how we’ve been doing it since”. The advent of technology has made flexibility a necessity. Processes can change overnight and so must you.
  2. The level of your influence will affect your income even more. Influence is simply the ability to affect and change people thoughts and actions. The more you can do that, the more the potential for you to earn unlimited income. Focus on growing your influence.
  3. Communities will matter even more. Every brand out there is building community. Big brands have Facebook groups and Instagram pages. Focus will also shift from size to culture and engagement. If you’re looking to get brand endorsements, you MUST build community.
  4. The clearer your message, the more connections you will make. Your message must reflect in your business, as it reflects in your personal life. The days of operating in a niche market are over. Instead, learn to niche your message and not your market. Have a message you can take to any market and it would still be relevant.
  5. Video content and video marketing will continue to be on the rise. High quality video content makers will be sought after, and business owners will be forced to learn how to create and edit videos. You can no longer thrive on the excuse that you are not techy. Make the videos or watch your sales tank.
  6. It will no longer be so much about curating tons of new content, but how you can create a few authentic content and repurpose them. Your one book has the potential to create more than 20 different types content, and potentially 20 different streams of income. Be authentic in your content, rather than being a mass collector and distributor of other people’s content.
  7. Workbooks, guides, planners and short content online courses will be on the rise. They’re already making waves in the billion-dollar self-education industry in Tier 1 countries like the US, and we’re slowly but steadily catching up. If you don’t know how to create high quality workbooks, guides and planners that can sell on Amazon, or know how to create an online course you can distribute on Train Quarters, Udemy, Skillshare and others, the train will pass you.
  8. Unconventional platforms will be explored. Platforms like Tik Tok, Apps, YouTube Live, Telegram and Whatsapp for Business. Study these platforms now, and choose the ones you can leverage on in and don’t forget to build your email list. You want to have control over your audience, instead of allowing Uncle Zuck to have the control.
  9. There will be more opportunities for collaborations with local and international brands. As the world looks to Africa as the new frontier for expansion, be prepared for big and small partnerships and shoot your shot shamelessly. The worst that would happen is that they will say no. Also leverage international platforms like TEDx, Social Media Week, Social Media Marketing Week and International Speaking opportunities to build visibility.
  10. Branding will rely heavily on storytelling, organisational culture, having a shared vision that your community understands, and a purpose larger than just making money. Let the money be secondary. Focus on building influence and impact (remember the SDGs?) and the money will follow. Your brand is bigger than a logo, a website and a couple of social media handles. Build a massively valuable brand that can compare with other brands from all over the world.

Also, I know how difficult it may be for you to even know where to start as it regards these predictions. You may have even set your goals and vision and just realised you’re on the wrong path. So, which of the predictions did you not know about?
