LIES PEOPLE TELL THEMSELVES.

There are some people who have lied to themselves so much and for so long, that they have begun to believe those lies as the truth.

What kind of people am I referring to here, and are you one of them? Here are some examples:

❌ All rich and successful people made their money from illegal activities.

Because you don’t want to face the truth about hard and smart work, you tell yourself this lie to justify your laziness, unwillingness to learn and your invalid excuses for remaining where you are. Are my words too harsh? Good.

❌ It is only people who went to University, that can teach other people things.

One of the greatest Teachers and Speakers of our generation today is Les Brown. He never went to University before he won a Legislative Seat of Office in the United States.

He has been named one of this Generation’s History Makers. But you want to run away from your own calling. Continue.

❌ It is only people who studied Science that can be Techy. I’m not a Techie.

Another lie. Unless you believe your brain is so ossified that you cannot take in any new information. If you can learn how to make a new type of food, or how to record yourself and post it online, you can learn tech. Stop hindering your own progress with your irrational fear of learning.

❌ Some people are just born with the gift of writing. Not all of use can write or become Authors.

Another BS (excuse my French), but who told you this one? Go back and tell the person that I said they are lying. Any skill can be learned, but only if you choose to learn it.

❌ I can build a successful business from my phone, I don’t need a laptop.

Now, unless you are satisfied with being mediocre, restricting yourself and your income potential, this one is another ridiculous one I hear.

Is it possible to make money from just your smartphone? Yes. Is it possible to build the same level of success with the person who has a laptop and is putting in the same effort as you? Absolutely not!

You know, I think that people who give this excuse are in the same boat as those who say they are not techy. In fact, these people are worse that the “not techy” people because they lie to themselves twice.

They don’t want to admit that a laptop scares them. They think that because it’s bigger than a phone and has more buttons, it must be scary and complicated.

They’ve watched too many Hollywood SciFi movies and think that that’s how all laptops are. Please if you are in this category, go and get a laptop today. It costs the same as a smartphone. Ask Cimple Fabian Utoka to hook you up.

What other lies have you heard people tell themselves, that you find banality in? Share them in the comments so people can find deliverance.
