Have you had unproductive days?

Someone asked me a question recently, if I had days when I was unproductive, because I seem to always be doing something. My answer was NO.

You see, many times, people confuse busyness with productivity. You can be busy for 8 hours in a day and not have one shred of productivity.

Inversely, you can decide to work for only one hour everyday and put in insane amount of work.

Productivity is not a function of how many hours you put into work, it’s about how much work you put into the hours you have.

This is why someone who works on their business productively for just 2 hours a day, will produce better results than someone who stays busy for 8 hours and has nothing to show for it except tiredness.

Whilst we strive to produce and get results at our workplace, let us also remember that taking time to rest and recuperate is also productivity. A tired mind cannot be creative at full throttle.

Learn to structure your day appropriately and make time for work and for rest, while also not neglecting the other important things like time with family, meditation, eating and even fun. Your quality of life will thank you for it.
