DO YOU QUALIFY?

Facebook reminded me of this post I made last year. I believe it is worth re-sharing. Here it is:

Six years ago (this was in 2016), I left Nigeria and went to South Africa for a week to figure out my life. I was doing a number of businesses at the time and it had just began to make some headway.

However, I felt a familiar “hum” which usually signified that God was telling me that it was time to move on, as I wasn’t doing what I was meant to do at that time.

While in South Africa, I struggled with that thought and fought it. I mean, I had been trying and failing at businesses and trying to get a job. Just when things were finally making sense, God was saying “Nope”??

Anyway sha, I got back to Nigeria and decided to be stubborn about it. I didn’t move. Then a series of events happened that reminded me of the story of Jonah.

Just like Jonah got swallowed by the big fish fleeing Nineveh, I had my own Jonah moment. Practically everything I did then, required my hands…from my Interior Design Business, to my Jewelry making business, to the part-time tutoring gig I had.

So imagine how shocked I was when in less than 3 months after coming back from my trip, I got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Got my hand in a cast and everything. At 25 years old.

I laughed and laughed after I stopped crying. I finally decided to listen and obey. Since then, I have helped tens of thousands of people see possibilities in themselves that they never thought of, and helped many of them turn those possibilities into reality.

Whether it’s through Mindset Training, Book Publishing, getting published Internationally, starting new businesses, accessing global opportunities, or even just sharing my story to encourage someone to live another day; I have obeyed and I have continued to show up.

Now, did I suddenly get healed after I started to show up? No. I still live with the health condition. Does it bother me? Sometimes. Have I become a better person because of it? Absolutely.

When I look on the things I have accomplished, I can beat my chest and say that there’s no way someone with my health challenges could have done all these in this duration of time if not for the grace of God.

His grace continues to be sufficient and His strength is made perfect in my weakness.

My friend, if God says to go do something, do not look at your present circumstance to determine if you qualify for that position. God seldom calls the qualified, He qualifies the called.
