IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY!

Come lemme give you gist. 🤣

That’s how I told my family members in the family WhatsApp group that I’ve started learning Chinese o. 🙂

They even made me do video speaking the Chinese and send to them. I dinor talk. I sha sent the video. 😑

That’s how they were laughing at me. I still dinor talk. They said I sound like somebody that is eating hot yam. Ya VC kept kwayet o. 🤐

Then my mummy wanted to do small showing of self. She greeted everyone else in English. It reached my turn, she greeted me with the small “Ni hao” that she learned. 😎

She didn’t even do it well. She put question mark after the Ni hao, so I knew she was trying to ask “How are you?”. But Ni hao means “Hello” in Chinese o.😝

Immediately I saw it, I laughed. In my mind, I was singing,🙃

You wanna bam bam🤔

You wanna chill with the big boys😳

Na so the thing go…😏

I cracked my knuckles and typed, 🤌🏽

“Wô hên gāo xìng Mama” which means, “I am very happy mama. ☺️

Naim my mama begin shout o. She say this one pass am. 😂

My sister sef said, “the dash ontop the alphabets head, na wahala.”🙆🏽‍♀️

They said I should take it easy on Chinese illiterates like them. 😙

Ah, toh. Shebi na dem first find trouble? 😒

Coman help me judge the matter. Did I do wrong? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Meanwhile, It was my birthday yesterday and I have much to be grateful for. The past one year has stretched me the most and I have grown in more ways than I can remember to count. I turned 31 on this 31st day of the 1st month and this is a special one for me as you will see soon.

Thank you to everyone who has sent me gifts, money and acts of service. I appreciate every single one of you.
